[The sight of Cerberus has Hermes smiling as he hands the flowers off to Persephone, kneeling down to greet the dog. He gets a few good pets before he stands, nodding her way.]
Ah yes, good idea.
[They won't die any time soon but they'll enjoy a bit of water for sure.]
[ Once she has the flowers all settled into a vase she sets them on the kitchen table before turning back to Hermes and Cerberus. ]
Alright Cerberus, you ready to go out? [ The hound bounces excitedly at the word 'out' and rushes over to the door. She opens it and lets him out into the garden. ]
Thank you for the flowers, they're quite unique. [ She holds out her hand to Hermes. ] Ready to head upstairs?
Nodding he takes the outstretched hand. There's no reason to be hesitant, after all. Gingerly he follows her upstairs, letting her guide him toward her room.]
[ She floats her way up the stairs. She's a little giddy about doing this with him but also a little nervous, though she's doing her best not to let the latter show.
Once they make it into her playroom, she slips her arms around his shoulders and presses her lips to his in a quick kiss. ] So before we start, I usually ask if there's a preferred shape and size. If you want to be adventurous I have a, um, little book that has a bunch of toys. You could pick something from that.
[ She does have fun trying out different shapes with her transformation ability. ]
[He looks at her somewhat confused, if only because it's a question that's never once crossed his mind. His cheeks grow hot the more he thinks about what to give as an answer.]
Ah, well, I cannot say I have much of a preference at all. I haven't been with many people, nor have I ever used toys before.

[ She wonders if she should just go with something normal and not too big for this. Without saying anything she gently pushes him toward the bed to sit down. ]
How about you take a look? [ She moves over to the shelf in the room and grabs a thing booklet before joining him on the bed with a little bounce. She hands him the book and sits so that she can see what he's looking at as he looks through it. ]
[Gingerly he takes the book from her, setting it in his lap as she joins him by his side. Quietly he flips the pages, cheeks growing hotter the more his eyes dart over each image. He's definitely having a problem with choosing, finding it somewhat overwhelming. In the end he gently closes the book and turns to hand it to her. Help.]

[ She can understand it being a lot for a first-timer to look at or decide on. Though she had hoped he would see something that sparked his interest. ]

[Hermes has never been good at making personal choices. While he certainly had preferences he had learned to suppress what he liked or wanted, much to his own detriment. It was much easier to let someone else call the shots when it came to something like this, unless it was being demanded of him. No it was much easier to let Persephone make the choice - she would know better about this anyway.
Nodding he moves to peel himself out of his top, suddenly feeling incredibly self conscious. Doing something like this as a planned event rather than a spur of the moment romp out of passion already had that pesky voice in his head questioning whether he should be doing this or not. Wouldn't he just be embarrassing himself? Would it be any good for her at all? How did any of this work anyway...
Even now sex makes him anxious to some degree, brow furrowing as he fiddles with the clasps of his pants.]
[ Persephone can understand that. She spent much of her life having her decisions made for her. She had to learn to start making them for herself and it really wasn't easy to start. She does hope he'll learn to do what he wants at some point.
She would agree this kind of thing is easier in the spur of the moment. She feels a bit awkward herself if she were to be honest. ]

[ She personally prefers to be able to see her partner's face during this but if he'd rather be able to hide a little she won't fault him. ]
[That had his face growing hotter, luminous eyes widening out of embarrassment. Positions weren't exactly something that had even crossed his mind. Now forced with a choice he's starting to feel his stomach knot. Both felt good but how was he supposed to choose exactly?
